Behind concerns like these lies not only tightness in the muscles, but the movement of the bones and joints, and the balance of the body as a whole.
The Bone Adjustment we hold dear at Healers does not view the body in parts alone. It tends to the whole body while observing how bones, joints, muscles, posture, and breath are connected.
The human body has around 206 bones. The bones are the pillars that support the body, and the joints are the very key to movement.
When one place loses its ease of movement, another place begins to work to cover for it. A tilt in the pelvis, for instance, can affect the back and neck, and the balance of the feet can influence one's whole posture.
Bone Adjustment is not about pressing hard, nor about forcing anything to “crack.” We carefully find the places where natural movement has become difficult, and tend to them so the body can move with ease once more.
Beauty is not made by the face alone.
The way one stands, the length of the neck, the position of the shoulders, the line of the back, the depth of the breath, the softness of expression — all of these, together, create the impression of a person.
That is why, at Healers, we never think of “beauty” and “the body's function” as separate things.
When the body comes into order, posture changes. When posture changes, breathing changes. When breathing changes, a change begins to appear in the expression, and in the quiet space of the heart.
